One standout event is Parrtjima – A Festival in Light, Australia’s only authentic Aboriginal light festival, attracting thousands of visitors to experience stunning light installations, artworks, interactive workshops, music, talks, and more. Milestone managed social media, scheduling, posting, and community interaction for the 10-day festival.

Approach
Milestone Creative handled personalised 1:1 community engagement, social media management, scheduling, posting, and interaction for the 10-day festival. Key challenges included curfews in Alice Springs just before the event, managing audience sentiment, and dealing with poor internet connectivity in the remote location.
Community engagement
To tackle these challenges, our satellite team created processes to manage poor internet and implemented a crisis communications plan with the broader NTMEC team. We also developed a detailed FAQ document ahead of the event, ensuring quick and efficient responses to customer inquiries.
