The Alice Springs Masters Games (ASMG) is a high-energy sporting festival that unites athletes of all levels for a week of friendly competition and camaraderie. Hosted by Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC), ASMG is Australia’s first and longest-running Masters Games, celebrating the spirit of sport and community in the Outback. Milestone Creative led social media and community management for the 2024 ASMG, creating engaging content, crafting compelling copy, and managing live social coverage throughout the event.

Approach
Milestone Creative managed all social media for the 2024 ASMG, driving excitement, boosting registrations, and connecting the community with every moment. The main challenge was overcoming the pandemic hiatus, a crowded event landscape, and engaging an older, less tech-savvy audience.

To drive excitement and boost registrations, we rolled out creative strategies including destination-focused content to promote travel, spotlights on each sport to increase awareness, and highlighting non-sporting reasons to register, such as entertainment and community-building at ceremonies.
