BODfest

BODfest, a one-day mini festival that focused on body confidence and self-love.

Presented by Are Media, BODfest was held at Paddington Town Hall on 8 October 2022. This was the first year of the mini-fest. Well-known personalities such as Emily Ratajkowski, Remi Bader, Brooke Blurton and Amy Sheppard were a part of this program and presented live talks, tutorials, beauty stations, and entertainment.

Are Media engaged Milestone Creative to market the event through a digital marketing campaign and ticketing was managed by Milestone Tix. BODfest had a great opportunity to succeed in being presented by Australia’s largest magazine brands and influential personalities.

 

Challenges:

  • Client did not use own social channels for digital marketing, preferring to use Milestone Tix brand to serve event ads
  • Email subscribers were not available for custom and lookalike audiences
  • Website was lacking program detail
  • Minimal creative available

The Results.

Despite the challenges, the event saw great results across the entirety of the campaign including half of the ticketed events selling out and a total marketing reach of 2.8 million eyeballs.

 

The trend we are consistently experiencing, presented the same challenge for Bondi Festival. That is, a slow start in ticket sales with less than 10% of sales being made within the 5 week on sale period. The remaining 90% of ticket sales were converted in the week before the event through to the event period. This is a repercussion from covid-19, with consumers being less confident to purchase tickets early.

 

Milestone provided social media services which included creating social media posts, content for the feed, stories and REELS, as well as community engagement. Our Social Media Editor filmed content onsite during the event period for the channels. Our team increased followers on Instagram by 37% and significantly increased the amount of video and carousel content onto the accounts channels. An objective identified within the event marketing strategy was to improve the accounts Engagement Rate (ER). Prior to commencing, this figure sat at 0.05%. Our team increased this figure to 0.62%, increasing the engagement by 1,140%

 

The digital ad campaign also received fantastic results, especially through Google Search Ads which received an overall Return On Ad Spend (ROAS) of 82.78 for the campaign and a significant increase within the last 10 days at 189.73. Meta Business Ads took the responsibility of building general awareness for the campaign with ads receiving 143.6K impressions, 2K link clicks and 10K engagements.

Ticketing & Digital Marketing 2022

Milestone Creative has connected with Are Media to promote their event, BODfest. Milestone Creative and Milestone Tix are managing the event’s marketing and ticketing for their 8 October 2022 event at Paddington Town Hall.


BODfest is a one-day mini festival that focuses on body confidence and self-love. International and local talents share their inspiring stories as they discuss all thing body love, sex, mental health, parents, wellness and inclusive beauty and fashion.

MARKETING

Milestone researched and executed marketing strategies such as alliance marketing to yacht clubs and marinas throughout NSW, FB group posting and populating listings for the Australian event.

EVENT MARKETING

Milestone was the Australia Sail Grand Prix ‘Event Marketing Partner’, researching, developing and executing the event marketing for 2022.

sTRATEGY

Milestone built out the strategy including identifying target markets, key messaging, channels and key timings for the campaign.

MEDIA pLANNING

Milestone researched, negotiated, placed and briefed all media buy for the campaign across multiple channels including Direct Digital Buy, Out Of Home, Distribution, Print and Radio.

DIGITAL ADVERTISING

Milestone developed the owned digital strategy, built content and deployed advertising through the Australia SailGP Team account, resulting in 12.5M Impressions across the entire campaign.

cONTENT + copywriting

Milestone wrote copy and developed content including owned digital advertising, event marketing social media posts, input into eDM copy and wrote media buy briefs/articles.

Milestone wrote copy and created artwork for any direct event-related content including ticket phases, ‘home town hero’s’ campaign and ‘sold/selling’ moments.

brand + design

Milestone’s Brand & Design team developed a look and feel for each ticketing phase based on previous research. This was used throughout social media, digital advertising and all media buy placements. Milestone also designed a 16-page Event Guide which had 170K copies distributed throughout NSW.
