Pinterest Ads Access Setup

 

1. Access Requirements
You need to provide Milestone Creative with access to your Pinterest Business Account and Ad Account.
If you do not have a Pinterest Business Account, follow the setup instructions below.

2. Granting Access to an Existing Pinterest Business Account
A. Add Milestone Creative as a Partner or Team Member
  1. Go to ads.pinterest.com and sign in to your Pinterest Business Account.
  2. Click your profile icon → Settings.
  3. In the left-hand menu, select Permissions (or Business Access if using the newer interface).
  4. Click Add People.
  5. Enter marketing@milestonecreative.com.au.
  6. Under Role, choose Admin or Ad Manager.
    • Admin: Full access to account and billing.
    • Ad Manager: Access to create and manage campaigns.

       

  7. Click Invite.
  8. Confirm Milestone Creative appears under your Active Members once accepted.

     

 

 

3. If the Client Has No Pinterest Business Account
A. Create a Pinterest Business Account
  1. Go to business.pinterest.com.
  2. Click Sign Up.
  3. Enter your email address, password, and business name.
  4. Choose Create a new business account (not personal).
  5. Complete your Business Profile Setup by adding your business name, website, and region.
  6. Click Next and Done.

     

B. Create an Ad Account
  1. Go to Ads → Overview.
  2. If prompted, click Set Up Your Ads Account.
  3. Select your Currency and Billing Country.
  4. Click Create Ad Account.

     

C. Add Milestone Creative
  1. Go to Business Access → Add People.
  2. Enter marketing@milestonecreative.com.au.
  3. Assign Admin or Ad Manager role.
  4. Click Invite.

     

4. Linking Pinterest Tag (Tracking Code)
To track website conversions and optimise campaigns:
  1. In your Ads Manager, click Ads → Conversions.
  2. Click Add Code → Pinterest Tag.
  3. Copy the Tag code.
  4. Send the Tag to your developer or Milestone Creative to install on your website (via Google Tag Manager if preferred).
  5. Once installed, verify your domain within Conversions Settings.

     

     

5. Adding Billing / Payment Method
  1. Go to Ads → Billing in the top menu.
  2. Click Add Payment Method.
  3. Enter your Credit or Debit Card details.
  4. Set it as your Primary Payment Method.
  5. Confirm the details are linked to the correct Ad Account.
