PINTEREST

Get set up and ready to go on Pinterest.

Create a new business account that’s not connected to any other Pinterest accounts.

To create a new business account, the email you use to sign up must not already be in use on an existing Pinterest account.

If you’re an employee or an agency partner creating a business account to access your company’s or client’s ad account , we recommend using your professional email and your own name rather than the name of your business. This helps the owner of the account identify and validate the people who have access to their account.

  1. From the top-right of your screen, click Sign up
  2. Click  Create a business account
  3. Enter your Email, Create a password and enter your Age
  4. Click Create account
  5. Fill out the fields to Build your profile, then click Next
  6. Fill out the fields to Describe your business, then click Next
  7. Select if you want to run ads, then click Next
  8. Select where you’d like to start or click  the x icon  to go to your new Pinterest business account

Create a business account that’s linked to your personal account and easily switch between accounts. You’ll use the same email and password to sign into both accounts. When you enter your business information in your ad account, it will appear in the address portion of your billing receipt.

This receipt may be used for tax purposes so you should include any information that needs to be clearly indicated on the receipt

If you want to track conversions or target specific audiences, you need to set up a separate Pinterest Tag and create audiences for each of your ad accounts.

If you select the wrong billing currency during set-up or need to switch the account currency, you will need to create a new account in the correct country and/or currency.

The Pinterest tag is a piece of code that you add to your website. It lets Pinterest track visitors to your site, as well as the actions they take on your site after seeing your Pinterest ad. This means you can measure how effective your Pinterest ads are by understanding the actions people take on your website after seeing or engaging with your ad.

If you add the Pinterest tag to your website, you’ll be able to:

  • Track and optimize conversions
  • Measure campaign performance
  • Build audiences for targeting
  • Become a verified merchant
  • Access conversion insights
  • You also have the option to use the Pinterest API for conversions in addition to the Pinterest tag, to maximize visibility into conversions.

Note: After you’ve installed the Pinterest tag, it can take up to 24 hours to be reflected in Ads Manager.
